My Life's Just Fine

Believe it or not, I have been really busy in the Command Center, but my camera has been downstairs for weeks now and I keep forgetting to bring it up.  Let's see, I've finished multiple scrapbook pages for my niece; some of my own pages; a couple of crowns; some cards; a birthday gift; a WELCOME banner for our office lobby; 3 decorated dry erase boards and I think that's it.  I accidentally broke a frame/shelf thingy that we've had forever and I grabbed it and was ready to toss it but then saw a wonderful upcycling project.  I'm excited to get started on it...and I MUST remember to snap a before photo.  Dang it...where's my camera again?

Right now I'm missing my son, Derek.  He's still on his adventure in Petersburg, Alaska and it's been almost two months since I've seen him.  He should be home soon.  Derek brings so much life into our house since he's such a nut!

I love that Kevin and Carly are sticking around the house more and we're spending hours & hours on a Parks and Recreation and The Office marathon on Netflix.  I love that Tony is feeling so much better now that his insurance stuff is finally figured out and he's back with his specialist.  He is back to his ol' self and it's such a relief.

Kenny's busy with football - overtired but loving every minute of it.  I love how the dynamics at the Durham household.  It is so different now that the kids are older.  We no longer have the responsibility to take care of them but do it anyways.  I love that we're having fun hanging out with each other and there's four cars outside which can take any of us wherever we want, but we choose to stay home.

Sure we have our usual family arguments and nothing is ever perfect, but "I won't change my life, my life's just fine" just like the lyrics on one of my favorite Mary J Blige songs (Just Fine).
